Holistica Health Grew Organic Clicks Nearly Six Times Over

A Perth based telehealth clinic moved from flat traffic to sustained growth through schema markup, regulatory compliance work, and consistent content for holisticahealth.com.au

Monthly organic clicks grew from a baseline average of 668 to 3,801 in August 2026, six months into the engagement. August alone accounted for 43% of every organic click earned since the campaign began in March.

Background

Holistica Health is a specialised GP telehealth clinic headquartered in Perth, Western Australia. Their AHPRA registered doctors consult patients across all states and territories for ADHD assessment, medical weight loss, dermatology, hair loss treatment, smoking cessation, and integrative medicine.

The Australian telehealth space is competitive and heavily regulated. TGA and AHPRA rules prohibit testimonials referencing clinical outcomes, limit how treatments can be promoted, and restrict patient facing language. Before our engagement, the site generated modest traffic with no growth trajectory, no structured data, and a review widget that violated current regulations.

What We Found

We began work on March 6, 2026. Google Search Console data from the three months prior showed flat performance: an average of 668 clicks per month, an average position of 20.4 sitting at the very bottom of page two, and roughly 26,800 impressions per month. Four problems stood out.

Zero Structured Data

No schema markup of any kind. Google had no structured signal that this was a medical organization, what services it offered, or how its content was organized.

Noncompliant Reviews

A live Google Reviews carousel on the homepage pulled patient comments referencing clinical outcomes. Under AHPRA National Law, these are banned testimonials.

Silent Business Profile

No regular GBP posting cadence. For a telehealth clinic without a shopfront, this meant zero substitution for local foot traffic signals.

Crowded Market

Venture funded competitors with large content teams and mature backlink profiles dominate Australian telehealth search. Brute force was not an option.

What We Did

Schema Markup
Built seven schema types from scratch in custom PHP: MedicalOrganization, WebSite with SearchAction, FAQPage, MedicalTherapy for each service, Article, and ContactPage. All entities cross referenced with @id anchors. Validated through Rich Results Test.
Compliance Fix
Replaced the noncompliant live Google Reviews carousel with a custom static widget. Three curated comments covering only the telehealth platform, booking process, and admin team. Built as self contained HTML/CSS/JS for Elementor with a compliance notice banner per TGA/AHPRA guidelines.
GBP Content
Established three posts per week rotating through all service lines. Structured format: AHPRA compliant copy, booking CTA, and AI image prompts for consistent visuals. No contact details in post body.
Monthly Reporting
Branded reports covering GSC, GBP interactions, and Bing data. KPI dashboards, trend analysis, and prioritized action items each month.

Of the 8,867 total clicks earned since the campaign began in March, 6,643 arrived in the most recent quarter alone, June through August. This is not seasonal. It reflects compounding gains from schema implementation and consistent content signals.

Impressions in the most recent quarter alone, June through August, out of 606K total since the campaign began in March. Google is now surfacing this site for a dramatically broader set of telehealth queries than it was before structured data went live.

Why It Worked

Schema created a technical moat

Most telehealth competitors have no structured data or use plugin generated markup. Hand coded, comprehensive schema gave Google explicit entity signals that compound as the index matures.

Compliance became a trust signal

Proactively fixing the review widget before any regulatory action demonstrated a higher standard to both Google and patients. Social proof stayed on the homepage, regulatory risk left.

GBP substituted for foot traffic

Three posts per week across rotating services kept the profile fresh. For a telehealth clinic with no physical shopfront, this is one of the few signals that proves active patient engagement.

Reporting closed the loop

Monthly data surfaced opportunities early. Strategy adjusted based on actual numbers, not assumptions. The reporting cadence itself became a retention and trust mechanism with the client.

Conclusion

Since the engagement began in March 2026, Holistica Health's monthly clicks grew nearly six times over, impressions grew more than eleven times over, and average position moved from the bottom of page 2 to solidly on page 1. The strategy focused on doing the fundamentals exceptionally well rather than chasing shortcuts. These results continue to compound.
